Staff Accountant

About the role

Recurly is looking for a motivated, high‑energy Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. You will support day‑to‑day accounting operations and report to the VP of Accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily transactions in the general ledger, including accounts receivable, cash, and bank accounts.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assist external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
• Record customer payments (ACH, wire, checks) and issue custom invoices.
• Perform daily cash application, monitor AR aging, and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Communicate with customers about billing discrepancies and maintain the third‑party billing platform.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and manage additional projects as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of broad‑based corporate accounting or shared‑services experience.
• High fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or Siigo.
• Advanced Excel skills for handling complex spreadsheets and large data sets.
