Staff Accountant

About the role

A Staff Accountant position is open, focused on maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts and supporting month-end and year-end close. The role requires strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and experience with major ERP accounting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reporting packages
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS and internal accounting policies
• Support audits, budgeting, forecasting and special finance projects
• Respond to accounting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and accounting principles
• English-Spanish B2+ (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Required skills

• Accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP or similar ERP platforms
• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
