Strategy Director – Latin America

About the role

Edelman Colombia is seeking a senior Strategy Director to lead and elevate strategy across Latin America. The role combines strong strategic craft, cultural intelligence, client leadership and commercial thinking to uncover insights, inspire creative work and drive growth for major brands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategy for major clients and opportunities across LATAM, connecting business challenges, culture, audiences and communications.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, bringing clarity to complex challenges and identifying opportunities beyond the brief.
• Turn research, cultural signals, audience intelligence and business context into sharp insights and compelling strategies.
• Inspire creative work through strong briefs, strategic direction and close partnership with Creative teams.
• Bring an earned‑first perspective to how brands build relevance, trust and influence.
• Identify opportunities to grow client relationships and play a leading strategic role in new business.
• Partner across Creative, Intelligence, Digital, Corporate and Client Leadership to develop integrated solutions.
• Lead and develop strategists while raising the quality and ambition of strategy across the region.
• Explore how AI, intelligence and emerging technologies can make strategic work smarter and more impactful.

Required profile

• Strong experience in brand, creative, communications or integrated strategy.
• Excellent strategic craft from business challenge through narrative and creative opportunity.
• Experience advising senior clients and influencing conversations beyond the communications brief.
• Strong creative judgment and experience partnering with creative teams.
• Commercial mindset with experience growing client relationships and contributing to new business.
• Experience leading people and working across multidisciplinary teams and markets.
• Strong cultural intelligence, research instincts and storytelling skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
