Structural Steel Detailing Estimator

About the role

The Structural Steel Detailing Estimator supports the Sales & Marketing department by preparing accurate quotes, managing scope changes, and ensuring traceability for structural steel detailing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process structural and architectural bid drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine project scope.
• Prepare material take‑offs, develop accurate estimates, and generate quote documents following company standards.
• Follow up with customers on issued quotes, clarifications, and pending decisions.
• Identify scope changes from design revisions, client requests, and field questions; prepare work tickets and coordinate with internal teams.
• Group approved work tickets into Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and manage their approval process.
• Prepare invoices, ensure proper archiving of pricing documentation, and track payment receipt.

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in structural steel detailing, estimating, or construction take‑offs.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel and architectural drawings, specifications, and design revisions.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
