Supply Chain Planner

About the role

Waters is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to support its regulated, high‑volume testing operations in Colombia. The role will ensure timely order execution, maintain inventory visibility, and drive continuous supply reliability across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage purchase orders, guaranteeing on‑time execution and accurate system data.
• Provide stakeholders with visibility on supply constraints, risks, and estimated availability dates.
• Analyze inventory coverage (Days of Supply) and identify root‑cause deviations, initiating corrective actions.
• Manage SKU replenishment using Reorder Point (ROP) and Make‑to‑Order (MTO) strategies to sustain supply continuity.
• Oversee and mitigate backorders to minimize customer impact.
• Address business inquiries with clear, timely communication.
• Supervise product phase‑in/phase‑out processes to ensure smooth transitions.
• Guarantee supply availability for key projects and maintain planning parameters such as Days on Hand.
• Ensure traceability and availability of equipment and components, aligning with demand forecasts.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear and effective multi‑functional communication skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities.
• Adaptable to dynamic, changing environments.
• University degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Production/Logistics Engineering, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics.
• Preferred postgraduate or MBA in Supply Chain, Planning or Analytics, and specialized training in S&OP, Demand Planning or Forecasting.
