System Engineer - DevOps

About the role

Join the Operations team in Bogota and support a global IT organization that delivers enterprise‑grade loyalty systems. You will work in a 24/7 DevOps/SRE environment, ensuring high availability, reliability and performance of mission‑critical platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain high availability of enterprise systems, including incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure stable releases and support deployments.
• Improve system observability through logs, metrics and alerts using ELK, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Automate operational processes with scripting (Python/Bash) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks and operational standards, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of experience in IT Operations, DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure Support.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and proactive mindset.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience with loyalty platforms is a plus.

Required skills

• Linux system administration.
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancers).
• Monitoring and log analysis tools (ELK/Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Use of Jira, Confluence and Git‑based repositories.
