Tax & Accounting Support Specialist - CPA (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to provide Level 2 support for complex US‑based tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role is fully remote and requires coverage during US business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting, tax, and payroll tickets through Zendesk, email and phone.
• Review bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
• Assist customers with tax notices, filing status questions, and payroll setup issues.
• Document resolutions, maintain accurate records, and identify recurring issues for workflow improvement.

Required profile

• Professional accounting experience with strong knowledge of US tax and bookkeeping.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Analytical, independent problem‑solving and documentation skills.
• Ability to work shifts overlapping 8 AM–8 PM ET and adapt to evolving technology.

Required skills

• QuickBooks or comparable accounting software.
• Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
• Zendesk (training provided) and Slack or similar collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with tax preparation and payroll software.
