About the role

Colegio Moderno La Florida, an educational institution in Tunja, Boyacá, is looking for a full-time, on-site Teacher. Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards, adapting instruction to diverse learning needs.
• Prepare lesson materials, assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Provide feedback to students and families and create a safe, respectful classroom environment.
• Manage student behaviour constructively and collaborate with colleagues on academic and extracurricular initiatives.
• Take part in professional development, attend school meetings and events, and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practice.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience guiding student learning in a classroom setting.
• Relevant qualification such as a degree in Education or a related field, and valid teaching credentials.
• Experience at primary or secondary level.
• Ability to work collaboratively, show cultural sensitivity and uphold inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.

Required skills

• Lesson planning and adaptation to different learning styles.
• Clear communication with students, families and colleagues.
• Instructional skills, including explaining complex concepts and supporting skill development.
• Beneficial: classroom management, assessment and evaluation, use of educational technology; English proficiency is a plus.
