Technical Program Manager – Contractor Engineering & Agile Lead

About the role

Plan A Technologies is seeking a motivated Technical Program Manager to lead contractor engineering teams and drive the execution of two high‑priority programs. You will act as the central hub for agile planning, Jira administration, and cross‑functional coordination, ensuring transparent delivery of complex technical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive planning, execution, and delivery of technical initiatives, keeping timelines transparent.
• Directly manage day‑to‑day tasks for contractor engineering teams, ensuring clear requirements and unblocked workflows.
• Own and maintain Jira boards, handling ticket creation, grooming, sprint planning, and status tracking.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Provide TPM support for identity/access management and core system migration programs.
• Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to engineering leadership and cross‑functional partners.
• Identify and mitigate technical and scheduling risks, establishing path‑to‑green plans.

Required profile

• 5+ years proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar delivery role.
• Strong technical acumen or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep, hands‑on expertise with Jira and agile methodologies.
• Experience managing contractor or globally distributed engineering teams.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, able to translate technical details into clear project status.
• Proactive, highly organized, and able to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
