Territory Sales - Field Sales Account Executive

About the role

Cummins Inc. is hiring a Territory Sales - Field Sales Account Executive in Barranquilla. The role focuses on prospecting and developing new opportunities, executing account plans with coaching support and achieving sales goals within the assigned territory, market segment or channel partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, research and contact prospective customers, then build and execute account plans for top prospects and conduct face-to-face sales calls.
• Build customer relationships so needs, business model and buying process are understood, and offer Cummins solutions that match customer priorities.
• Negotiate according to company guidelines, including payment terms, and help collect accounts receivable while keeping past-due accounts at an acceptable level.
• Drive sales, maintain customer relationships and respond to customer concerns promptly.
• Use the Cummins Sales Process and tools such as Customer Relationship Management, report activity through the CRM and maintain sales forecasts.
• Balance inventory, service and delivery capabilities with customer expectations, as applicable.

Required profile

• College, university or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales or a related subject, or acceptable sales-related work experience.
• Basic relevant work experience preferred.
• Field sales experience and technical knowledge of filters.
• Driving licence required.
• The position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
