Training Specialist

About the role

The Training Specialist drives employee capability development by coordinating training and mentoring processes, administering the Skills Management system and enforcing consistent plant-wide training standards. The role supports operational excellence and organizational growth, works closely with departments on KPI-linked training, and travels up to 10% to other sites and corporate projects.

Key responsibilities

• Act as local administrator and key user of the Skills Management IT system (AG%), keeping data accurate across the plant.
• Recruit, onboard and develop local mentors, verify mentoring activities and monitor training quality.
• Plan and coordinate on-the-job and classroom training in cooperation with departments.
• Organize and supervise skills assessments and validate proficiency levels against defined standards.
• Monitor training plans, prepare regular reports and share progress, gaps and results with stakeholders.
• Promote training initiatives internally and deliver induction programs and learning plans.
• Maintain training documentation, records, standards and compliance materials.
• Cooperate with the Group / Corporate Training Team on group-wide projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Education, Manufacturing, Adult Learning, Learning & Development, Organizational Development or a related field.
• Health & Safety (occupational safety) training and knowledge of company policies and code of conduct.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in training, learning and development roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English and the business language of the country.

• Knowledge of training processes, OJT and mentoring principles, skills assessment methods and skills matrices, and training documentation and compliance requirements.
