US Immigration Paralegal (Family-Based) - Fully Remote

About the role

A US-based law firm specializing in family-based immigration is hiring a detail-oriented Paralegal with hands-on experience supporting US immigration and family-based law matters. The role supports attorneys with case preparation, documentation, client communication, legal research and case management. It is fully remote, based in Latin America, with working hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm CST and pay of USD 1,200 to 1,600 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review immigration petitions, applications, supporting documents and legal correspondence.
• Support family-based immigration matters, including family petitions, adjustment of status and consular processing.
• Collect, review and organize client documents and supporting evidence.
• Track case deadlines, USCIS notices, filing requirements and RFEs.
• Communicate with clients to collect information and missing documentation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files and case management records.
• Work closely with attorneys so cases are prepared accurately and submitted on time.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience as a US Immigration Paralegal.
• Strong experience with US family-based immigration cases; US law firm experience is mandatory.
• Law degree or attorney experience in the native country is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and deadline management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases remotely.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of USCIS processes, immigration terminology and documentation.
• Experience with Clio, Docketwise or similar legal case management systems is a plus.
