US Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced US Tax Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for our US entity. You will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with US regulations, and provide clear, timely reporting to management while working fully remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain journal entries in Business Central and reconcile bank/credit card transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing.
• Calculate accruals, provisions, and prepare monthly closings.
• Handle US tax compliance: sales/use tax, 1099 reporting, franchise and state taxes, and support federal/state income tax filings.
• Review P&L and balance sheet, analyse variances, and coordinate with external CPAs and tax advisors.
• Maintain documentation for audits and tax filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of US accounting experience with solid knowledge of US GAAP and tax requirements.
• Hands‑on month‑end closing and account reconciliation experience.
• Fluent English, organized, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV).
• Advanced Excel.
