Weekend Night Dispatch Representative

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Weekend Night Dispatch Representative to join our fast‑paced Customer Service team. Working the Friday‑to‑Monday night shift, you will monitor overnight shipments, communicate with customers and drivers, and ensure smooth transportation operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track active shipments throughout weekend overnight hours, maintaining real‑time visibility.
• Communicate shipment status, delivery schedules, and issues to customers, drivers, and internal teams.
• Update customer portals and internal systems with accurate, timely information.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments to meet customer requirements.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve service disruptions, delays, load recoveries, and other exceptions.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing timely solutions and follow‑up.
• Prepare and distribute overnight operational reports to the daytime team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2+ years of sales or account management experience in transportation or logistics (preferred).
• Recent college or university degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Analytical background, such as experience in an analyst or pricing role, is an asset.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with proven negotiation ability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
