About the role
Mastercard is seeking an Acceptance Manager to join its Market Development, Acceptance team. The role focuses on expanding card acceptance, driving business development, and delivering innovative payment solutions for merchants and partners across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Lead initiatives that increase Mastercard’s relevance with merchants and preference among cardholders.
- Identify and execute business development opportunities, creating commercial proposals that boost revenue through product, service, and value‑added sales.
- Build and deepen relationships with key acquirers and client stakeholders to embed Mastercard’s brand strategically.
- Provide market insights, financial forecasting, profitability modeling, and competitive analysis to guide partner decisions.
- Collaborate with account teams to develop and monitor annual business plans and support cross‑functional projects.
Required profile
- Self‑motivated, structured problem‑solver with a strategic mindset.
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales within the payments industry.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities, comfortable in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.
Required skills
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including acquiring and issuing.
- Ability to conduct financial forecasting, profitability modeling, and competitive analysis.
- Strategic thinking and capability to develop innovative commercial proposals.
