Firstline Field Service Technician

About the role

Join Diebold Nixdorf as a Firstline Field Service Technician and help keep ATMs, retail point‑of‑sale equipment and related hardware running smoothly for millions of customers worldwide. You will perform basic installations, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on a variety of banking and retail devices.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize and schedule service calls according to customer service level agreements.
• Communicate estimated arrival times to customers and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Perform basic installation tasks such as pulling cables, mounting devices, and installing locks.
• Resolve technical issues like paper, card, and bill jams.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled cleanings on ATMs, POS terminals, locks, vaults and related peripherals.
• Escalate complex service requests when necessary to ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 0‑2 years of relevant field service experience or an equivalent education/experience mix.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license that meets company fleet requirements.

Required skills

• Basic installation and mechanical repair techniques.
• Familiarity with ATM, POS and PC peripheral hardware.
