IT Engineer – Support & Network Specialist

About the role

The IT Engineer will ensure smooth operation of the company’s IT department, providing support, troubleshooting and training for Latin America employees. The role includes managing platforms, networks and security systems while identifying improvements that align with future business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide IT support, troubleshooting and training for Latam employees.
• Install and configure software and hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, SIP phones, printers, network cards, etc.).
• Maintain asset records and manage equipment inventory.
• Evaluate user IT requests and advise on optimal solutions.
• Set up and troubleshoot Cisco, SonicWall and Palo Alto network devices.
• Perform network cabling for office environments.
• Conduct daily system maintenance for servers, network equipment, VPN and phone systems.
• Update internal website content such as user manuals and event posts.
• Monitor network security, perform monthly IT meetings with HQ, and enforce IT protocols.
• Act as liaison between end‑users and higher‑level support, monitor performance and restore data.
• Manage backups, license renewals and upgrade schedules.
• Lead projects from conception to completion and document system standards.
• Handle confidential information and participate in technical design reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT or similar department.
• Strong project management and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Business acumen and professionalism.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Preferred certifications: MCSE, MCSA, CCNA.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
