Pool Lifeguard – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Pool Lifeguard ensures the safety and well‑being of guests in the resort’s swimming areas. Working at Four Seasons Cartagena, you will combine vigilant supervision with exceptional hospitality to create a secure and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the pool and surrounding areas to prevent accidents and identify unsafe behavior.
• Respond immediately to water emergencies, performing rescue techniques and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when required.
• Enforce safety regulations and capacity limits, ensuring guests use the facilities responsibly.
• Provide courteous assistance, explain safety rules, and answer guest inquiries.
• Maintain pool cleanliness, order, and the availability of safety equipment such as rescue devices and first‑aid kits.
• Check water quality and equipment functionality, reporting any issues to maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with Security, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Management to guarantee smooth pool operations.

Required profile

• Current, valid lifeguard certification recognized in Colombia.
• Proven ability to act calmly and decisively in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
