Global Services Cluster Finance Manager

About the role

Johnson & Johnson Global Services (GS) employs more than 2,000 people in Finance, HR, IT and Procurement. This Finance Manager role covers Controllership services for Abiomed and V-Wave in North America, with direct support to two Commercial CFOs. It is a global (NA and OUS) position that is highly visible because it supports the entire NA Abiomed business worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate financial statement reviews for Commercial Finance senior leadership in Abiomed and any future MedTech acquisitions.
• Lead the overall close coordination for NAM Abiomed through pre-close and check-in meetings.
• Analyse financial statements for completeness, accuracy and validity, and lead the analysis and presentation of the Global Balance Sheet, CapEx and Cash Flow statements to Abiomed Finance leadership.
• Facilitate BVA review and approval through collaboration on commentary and analysis.
• Approve Actuals submissions in BRAVO, comply with SOX controls (e.g. BVA-02, BS-75, FR-02, FR-04) and work with PwC, GAA and Compliance on audit requests.
• Serve as member of the local FD's extended leadership team and act as "Face of GS" for Actuals, bridging Business Unit Finance, FP&A and Global Services.
• Work closely with BUF, FPA and GS teams on joint goals, and take part in GS process improvement and global/local projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• Recent account-to-report experience (consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, pre/post-close communications, audit requests), preferably in MedTech.
• Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and openness to new ideas and technologies.
• Understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including responsible and ethical AI, and experience using prompts to improve efficiency.
