Lead Front-End Developer (React)

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Lead Front-End Developer with deep React expertise to create responsive, accessible web experiences, define engineering standards, and guide teammates. You will work with cross‑functional peers and integrate Generative AI into daily delivery to boost speed and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Build responsive, user‑friendly web applications with high accessibility standards.
• Create reusable frontend libraries and frameworks to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Drive technical decisions for UI implementation, performance, and long‑term code health.
• Convert UI/UX wireframes into high‑quality React and JavaScript code and provide design feedback.
• Guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure consistent quality.
• Optimize application performance for fast load times and smooth interactions.
• Apply unit and end‑to‑end testing to reduce regressions and increase reliability.
• Embed GenAI tools in daily workflows and validate outputs against data and quality constraints.

Required profile

• 5+ years of front‑end development experience with JavaScript and React.
• At least 1 year of proven leadership, mentoring developers and aligning teams.
• Strong competency in code reviews, performance optimization, and debugging across browsers and devices.
• Hands‑on experience with unit testing, end‑to‑end testing, and Generative AI tools.
• Proficiency in English at a B2+ level.
