Manager, Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (BI)

About the role

Join the Global Operations Centre (GOC) at WPP Media to lead data engineering and business intelligence initiatives across the United States, Europe and Asia. You will design stable data architectures, automate ETL pipelines and deliver high‑impact visualisations for marketing efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define business requirements and build/maintain data architecture supporting reliable reporting.
• Design, build and deploy automated ETL processes and SQL/Python scripts for data extraction, quality checks and reporting delivery.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI, Datorama, Tableau and ensure data accuracy.
• Design and execute test plans, automated validation scripts and perform rigorous data validation and reconciliation.
• Maintain documentation of workflows, data schemas, QA processes and change logs.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence, preferably in a digital marketing or media agency.
• Strong written and verbal English communication and ability to work in an onshore/offshore model.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Advanced Power BI (mandatory); experience with Datorama, Tableau or Looker.
• Strong SQL proficiency.
• Python or R for ETL scripting, test automation and data manipulation.
• Advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of ad‑tech platforms (Google Campaign Manager, social platforms, DSPs) and web analytics tools.
• Familiarity with cloud services (Google Cloud Platform – BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow; or AWS/Azure equivalents).
