A2R DS Manager – Accounting

About the role

DePuy Synthes is recruiting an A2R DS Manager in Bogota, Colombia, within the Global Services Finance (GSF) Accounting process area. The GSF accounting team ensures complete and accurate accounting of all transactions, including sales and purchase orders, reconciliations, ageing monitoring and balance sheet reconciliations. The role leads a team of 25 or fewer associates and reports to the Global Services Finance organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead accounting and daily operations for the GSF Accounting process areas, with timely period closing according to the calendar and SLA commitments, in line with compliance, internal audit and SOX requirements.
• Ensure the completeness, accuracy and validity of reported actuals and maintain strong internal controls.
• Lead the accounting team, support auditors and legal authorities, and manage, mitigate and escalate risks.
• Drive continuous improvement, champion operational change and identify business and efficiency opportunities.
• Recruit, mentor and develop the team, including succession planning and performance management.
• Act as a trusted business partner, influencing strategy and solutions and engaging stakeholders proactively.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business discipline (PG30 required).
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or first-line leader role in a shared service or BPO organization.
• Experience leading large teams (15+ people) and in Account-to-Report functions of multinational companies.
• Experience in multiple work migrations and in continuous improvement or process transformation.
• Fluent English; other languages desirable. Up to 10% international travel and flexible shifts may be required.

Required skills

• PREFERRED: CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certification.
• PREFERRED: solid US GAAP accounting knowledge and digital/intelligent automation capabilities.
