Accounting Analyst

About the role

Genius Sports is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support month‑end close and accounting standardisation across its US and regional entities. You will work in a multinational, NYSE‑listed environment, collaborating with finance, operations, facilities and audit teams while using global finance platforms such as Workday.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and support month‑end close processes.
• Produce balance‑sheet reconciliations, certify controls and ensure timely completion.
• Analyse P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements to explain variances.
• Assist with payroll, tax, audit and compliance activities across multiple entities.
• Partner with FP&A, operations and facilities to provide accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in core accounting, month‑end close and ledger maintenance.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality reconciliations and support control certification.
• Strong analytical skills for P&L, balance‑sheet and cash‑flow variance analysis.
• Hands‑on exposure to multi‑entity payroll, tax and audit processes.
• Fluent English (B2+) and Spanish for reporting and collaboration across the Americas.

Required skills

• Workday (preferred ERP accounting system).
• Oracle or SAP ERP experience.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
