Accounting Assistant – Remote (Colombia)

About the role

Our client, a U.S.-based company, is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support its finance team remotely from Colombia. You will handle data entry, invoice processing, and day‑to‑day accounting tasks while collaborating with U.S. colleagues in English and Mexican stakeholders in Spanish.

Key responsibilities

• Enter Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately into the accounting system.
• Process invoices, vendor bills, customer payments, and credit memos, and assist with invoice matching.
• Maintain organized electronic accounting records, update spreadsheets, and reconcile transaction listings.
• Support basic bank and account reconciliations and month‑end activities by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Communicate routine accounting matters with U.S. team members in English and Mexican stakeholders in Spanish.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience as an accounting assistant, bookkeeper, or in AP/AR data‑entry roles.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large data volumes.
• Experience supporting a U.S.-based finance team.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas, data organization).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems.
