Accounting Manager

About the role

CI&T is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting and compliance for its local subsidiary. The role ensures accurate financial operations in line with IFRS standards and supports the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and sign‑off monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage quarterly audit processes.
• Own internal control processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Handle transfer pricing documentation, VAT, WHT recovery, annual income tax computations and monthly provisions.
• Lead and mentor the local accounting team (1 direct report).
• Collaborate with HR on payroll matters and coordinate with external payroll providers.
• Ensure accurate general ledger entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and SOX compliance.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop and automate reporting and transactional processes.
• Provide treasury support and maintain banking relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Experience managing audits and internal controls.
• Proven ability to lead a small accounting team.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
