AI Business Operations Expert (Hybrid)

About the role

Clara, a Latin American payments platform, is hiring an AI Business Operations Expert for its Clara Ops team in Bogotá on a hybrid basis. This is a highly strategic, senior individual contributor role reporting to the Global Head of Operations and partnering with Product, Sales, Finance and Engineering leaders. You will own the full automation lifecycle: identify opportunities, architect solutions, deploy them with advanced AI tooling and measure their impact.

Key responsibilities

• Map complex, high-friction workflows and prioritize them for AI augmentation, building a compounding roadmap.
• Design, deploy and iterate AI-powered workflows using N8N, Claude Code/Codex and other LLM APIs to replace manual, error-prone processes.
• Work with executives to implement agent-based or rule-based automation that improves speed, accuracy and capacity without adding headcount.
• Build and maintain operational dashboards in Metabase to surface KPIs and flag anomalies early.
• Partner with Product and Product Marketing so new features launch with automated processes ready from day one.
• Serve as the internal expert on AI operations, evaluating technologies, setting best practices and building a playbook.
• Identify data gaps and work with Engineering on instrumentation and Databricks pipelines.
• Document architectures and processes in Google Drive and Slack, and lead a "team of AIs" rather than managing people.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in operations, strategy or a related field, ideally in a LatAm fintech, payments or high-growth B2B SaaS company; a background at a top consulting firm or high-velocity startup is highly valued.
• Proven, expert-level track record of architecting and scaling enterprise AI automation.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Structured, strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and excellent communication with senior stakeholders and engineers.

Required skills

• Hands-on workflow automation with N8N, Make or Zapier (no-code/low-code fluency required).
• Familiarity with CRMs such as HubSpot or Salesforce, support tools such as Zendesk, data warehouses such as Databricks or Snowflake, and BI platforms.
• Comfort working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and querying data in SQL or building models in Metabase.
