AI Platform Engineer – Enablement & Governance

About the role

Join the Enterprise Transformation team to design and build the technical layer of Kraken's internal AI platform. You will create governed integration gateways, internal tooling, and spend controls that enable safe, scalable AI usage across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the integration surface, production runbooks, and governed integration gateway, handling connector onboarding, OAuth, and federated identity flows.
• Build internal tools such as agent scaffolding, reusable skills, prompt assets, evaluation harnesses, and provisioning automation.
• Configure and operate tiered spend controls, set role‑based caps, create alerting rules, and manage monthly vendor reconciliation.
• Implement technical controls for data handling, retention, and model eligibility, including SSO, SCIM, and workspace configuration.
• Provide technical enablement through deep‑dive sessions, office hours, and documentation for model releases.
• Administer the end‑to‑end AI estate: model turn‑ups, feature enablement, deprecation, provisioning queues, and vendor seat management.

Required profile

• Experience administering enterprise SaaS platforms at 1,000+ seats, preferably with AI/LLM components.
• Proven ability to build and ship software, not just configure vendor products.
• Strong operational discipline with experience managing intake queues, SLAs, runbooks, and escalation processes.
• Excellent teaching ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Python (or comparable language)
• Version control, CI/CD, containerization, secrets management
• OAuth, SSO, SCIM, federated identity, IdP platforms such as Okta
• Integration with LLM and SaaS APIs, familiarity with agent/tool calling patterns
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, JSM) is a plus
