Application Support Specialist III

About the role

AECOM EC is looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to monitor and maintain the efficiency of its global software applications. The role reports to the senior digital capabilities team and is based in Bogota, Colombia. Experience in the AEC industry is preferred but knowledgeable candidates from other industries may be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing and maintenance of software applications to streamline operations
• Domain, server and database administration
• Cloud infrastructure administration
• Create and manage user accounts
• Provide application support for internal and external users
• Analyze software performance and usage
• Perform diagnostic tests before releasing applications
• Verify the efficiency of network infrastructure
• Work closely with the global digital capabilities team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, IT or similar, plus at least 4 years of related applications support experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Advanced knowledge of computer applications and computer hardware
• Extensive experience in application support in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with professional English (C1), written and verbal
• Attention to detail, proactive support and strong problem-solving skills

Required skills

• Experience working with web APIs
• Preferred: Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Preferred: front-end and back-end programming languages such as Python, Java and C++
