Azure DevOps Engineer

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is hiring an Azure Engineer with DevOps experience. The role covers designing, implementing and managing development and deployment processes on Microsoft Azure, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation and monitoring and troubleshooting of applications and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect and implement scalable, reliable cloud solutions on Azure using its services and technologies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define architecture designs and deliver technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, automating build, test and deployment for cloud-native and hybrid applications.
• Define infrastructure as code with ARM templates, Terraform or similar tools to ensure consistent, repeatable and scalable deployments.
• Conduct architecture reviews, give technical guidance and mentor team members on Azure cloud architecture and DevOps best practices.
• Stay current on emerging Azure technologies and recommend improvements to cloud capabilities.

Required profile

• Knowledge of cloud architecture features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability).
• Hands-on experience provisioning and configuring IaaS and PaaS services such as virtual machines, app services, databases, storage accounts, virtual networks, function apps, data factory, key vault, service bus, event grid and Databricks.
• Experience setting up logging and monitoring with Log Analytics, App Insights and Azure Monitor.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux server architectures, and of high availability, clustering, failover and disaster recovery in the cloud.
• Familiarity with one or more server-side scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python or Bash.

Required skills

• Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline setup.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform, ARM and PowerShell (highly desired).
• Containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Web application security concepts (XSS, SSL/TLS, Active Directory, LDAP, firewalls).
• SSO software such as ADFS, Ping Identity, OpenSSO, OAuth, Okta or SAML/OpenID Connect providers.
