Bilingual Clinical Care Coordinator (English/Spanish)

About the role

A client of Snappycx is looking for a bilingual Clinical Care Coordinator (English/Spanish) to support U.S.-based healthcare practices. The role is fully remote and independent contractor, working U.S. business hours, and pays USD 6-7 per hour. It suits candidates living in Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Venezuela, El Salvador, Nicaragua or Argentina.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care, appointments, referrals, treatment plans and follow-up activities.
• Communicate with English- and Spanish-speaking patients about appointments, care needs and follow-ups.
• Assist with patient intake and keep accurate patient information in EHR/EMR systems.
• Document patient interactions, clinical information and provider instructions.
• Coordinate referrals, specialist appointments, lab orders, imaging and medical records requests, and follow up on outstanding records, results, referrals and authorizations.
• Help with insurance eligibility checks, benefits verification and prior authorization requests.
• Support prescription and refill requests by coordinating with providers and pharmacies.
• Make patient follow-up calls and support ongoing care management, including Chronic Care Management (CCM) when required.
• Escalate patient concerns needing clinical attention to the right provider and keep patient records confidential under HIPAA.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in clinical care coordination for U.S.-based practices, with a solid understanding of U.S. healthcare workflows and insurance processes.
• Clinical background; nurses, physicians and physician assistants are encouraged to apply.
• Fluent English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently remotely while managing several priorities.

Required skills

• Referral management, patient care and medical terminology.
• HIPAA compliance and knowledge of electronic medical records (EHR/EMR).
• Experience with insurance verification, eligibility checks, benefits verification and prior authorizations.
