Business Analyst II (Billing Automation)

About the role

Mastercard’s Billing Operations team is looking for a Business Analyst II to help automate manual billing activities. The role focuses on building data‑driven workflows that turn raw inputs into billing‑ready outputs, improving efficiency and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, update and run automated workflows using Alteryx or similar tools.
• Prepare data by filtering, aggregating, joining datasets, renaming fields and validating against templates.
• Troubleshoot basic workflow issues such as missing fields or format mismatches.
• Support manual billing cycles by generating data files, executing approved workflows and validating results.
• Document workflow logic, inputs, outputs and manual steps in standard SOPs.
• Perform data checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of billing data.
• Follow established controls and documentation standards to maintain auditability.
• Collaborate with billing analysts, automation SMEs and business partners to understand requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to resolve complex issues and work independently with guidance.
• Foundational experience or coursework in data analysis, automation or ETL (academic, internship or early‑career).
