Business Insights & Automation Analyst

About the role

TaskUs, a provider of outsourced digital services and customer experience to technology companies, is hiring a Business Insights & Automation Analyst in Medellin. The analyst turns complex operational telemetry, task logs and model evaluation data into business intelligence and automated workflows, working mainly within the Google ecosystem alongside Amazon Redshift.

Key responsibilities

• Data extraction and warehousing: write optimized SQL queries in Google BigQuery and Amazon Redshift to extract, aggregate and transform large operational records.
• Workflow automation: develop, deploy and maintain custom automations, triggers and lightweight internal web apps using Google Apps Script.
• Operational and SLA analytics: track throughput metrics such as queue latency, handle times, reassignment ratios and SLA compliance.
• Dashboards: design and maintain automated dashboards in Looker Studio and advanced Google Sheets.
• AI/ML quality: evaluate ground-truth labeling accuracy and classifier outputs using precision, recall, F1-score and confusion matrices.
• Root cause analysis: investigate performance bottlenecks, triage errors and data discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ECE, Information Technology or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of professional analytics experience combining SQL, dashboarding and workflow automation.
• Ability to turn raw operational data into business stories and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Nice to have: Python (pandas, numpy), experience with AV, geospatial or large-scale AI annotation operations, and basic HTML/CSS in Google Apps Script Web Apps.

Required skills

• Google Apps Script (JavaScript-based scripts, custom functions, scheduled triggers, Google Sheets tools)
• Advanced SQL in BigQuery and Amazon Redshift, including CTEs, window functions and query optimization
• Advanced Google Sheets modeling (QUERY, FILTER, ARRAYFORMULA, INDEX/MATCH, regex)
• Looker Studio dashboards integrated with BigQuery and Google Sheets
• Classification metrics and statistical methods for labeling audits
