Business Performance Specialist (Data & Automation)

About the role

GEA seeks a hands‑on Business Performance Specialist to enhance data, automation and reporting capabilities within its Planning, Controlling & Reporting team for the Middle Americas. The role focuses on simplifying financial processes, improving data quality and delivering intuitive dashboards that support better business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate financial reporting, planning and controlling processes.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, data models and automated reporting solutions.
• Transform and consolidate data from SAP, Excel and other sources using Power Query.
• Implement data‑quality controls, validations, reconciliations and standardised KPI definitions.
• Create clear, visually polished reports and executive presentations with strong data storytelling.
• Document solutions and train the Finance team to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
• Support monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business‑performance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• At least two years of hands‑on experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting automation or process improvement.
• Strong communication, visual‑design and data‑storytelling abilities.
• Minimum English level B2.

Required skills

• Power BI (including Power Query, data modelling and DAX).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP, SQL, Power Automate, Python or VBA (considered a plus).
