Business Solutions Specialist

About the role

ScotiaTech, the technology hub of Scotiabank in Bogota, is seeking a Business Solutions Specialist to support its international payments platform. The role focuses on the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Swift payments, collaborating with banks, fintech partners and internal technology teams to deliver customer‑centric solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analysis, documentation and validation of business requirements for payment initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams and external partners to design end‑to‑end solutions.
• Translate complex business needs into functional requirements, user stories and workshop outputs.
• Support scrum masters and project managers in planning, scoping and impact analysis.
• Perform gap analysis, root‑cause assessments and release readiness reviews for payment system enhancements.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for SWIFT connectivity and payment‑related projects.
• Monitor post‑implementation performance, resolve incidents and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of international payments and SWIFT processes.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for cross‑functional workshops.
• Experience guiding less experienced colleagues and championing a customer‑focused culture.
