Civil Engineer II - Linear Infrastructure & Site Civils

About the role

AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is looking for a Civil Engineer II to join its Linear Infrastructure and Site Civils team in Bogotá D.C. The role supports the design and development of highway, urban road and airport infrastructure projects, preparing geometric design solutions from conceptual layouts through detailed design. You will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on international and national projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing geometric designs for highways, urban roads and airport projects under senior engineers.
• Support the design of earthworks, platforms and traffic signage (horizontal and vertical).
• Prepare and update 3D models of road corridors, airport platforms, runways, taxiways and terrain surfaces in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Help prepare design reports, technical documentation, specifications and quantity take-offs.
• Ensure design tasks comply with local and international standards.
• Collaborate with drainage, structures, lighting and pavement teams, and take part in technical meetings and design reviews.
• Coordinate with CAD designers and modelers to keep deliverables accurate.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Transportation Engineering or a related field.
• 4 years of proven experience in geometric roadway design (highways and urban roads).
• Experience assisting with designs up to detailed construction documentation.
• Fluent English (oral and written, B2).
• Preferred: experience with InfraWorks, Navisworks, MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer, and familiarity with Subassembly Composer or Dynamo.

Required skills

• Autodesk Civil 3D (required)
• Basic knowledge of AASHTO standards and/or local roadway design regulations
• Technical English reading of design standards and specifications
