Collections Analyst – GBS

About the role

SGS is seeking a Collections Analyst for its Global Business Services (GBS) hub in Bogotá. The role is part of the Bill to Cash team and focuses on managing and recovering outstanding customer payments while delivering high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Execute collection strategies through calls and written correspondence, targeting aging reports and meeting defined SLAs.
• Maintain accurate, real‑time payment data by collaborating with cross‑functional teams and producing daily and month‑end reports.
• Perform customer account reconciliations, distribute periodic statements, and provide feedback on bad debts and write‑offs.
• Escalate high‑priority disputes, ensure compliance with SGS policies, and present financial data on overdue invoices.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert, propose process improvements, and lead collection training for the team.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field (high school diploma with 3 years relevant experience also accepted).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in collections or related finance roles.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills, with ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite or similar ERP systems.
