Commercial Analyst - Accounts Payable Audit

About the role

PRGX, a provider of source-to-pay data analytics and software, is hiring a full-time Commercial Analyst in Medellin, Colombia. The role audits client accounts payable data to find variances and errors in procurement and payment processes so that revenue can be recovered. Candidates must be authorized to work in Colombia without sponsorship and speak English.

Key responsibilities

• Use audit concepts and proprietary tools to examine client accounts payable data and identify variances and errors in procurement and payment processes.
• Analyze client electronic data, mainly in Excel or Access, and review contracts, agreements and documents for missed opportunities in vendor funding.
• Audit financial information such as buyers' files, purchase orders, invoices, statements, DSD purchases and freight invoices.
• Find, support and document audit and claims operations, write claims, update the claims management system and bill claims to the client.
• Provide vendors with claim backup information and contact them for pre-approvals; package claims for vendor and/or client.
• Follow audit compliance, meet deadlines, give recommendations for audit improvements and support the audit team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and training.
• Preferred: 2+ years of related experience in an office environment.
• Preferred: experience in retail or grocery procurement and A/P processing.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods, type, read screens and documents, and communicate by call or video.

Required skills

• Excel and/or Access (a must).
• Database knowledge (dBase or SQL environment) preferred.
