Cost Manager, Construction Projects

About the role

The Cost Manager will support construction projects, travelling to on‑site locations outside Bogotá. The role requires a methodical approach, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate cost outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist on feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
• Produce and present final cost plans, develop cost procedures and manage tendering processes.
• Handle post‑contract cost variances, change control and major change referrals.
• Review and approve subcontractor proposals, manage contracts and change requests.
• Perform cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Analyse project budgets, monitor expenditure and review payment applications.
• Report progress to the SCM, produce monthly post‑contract cost reports and present them to the client.
• Lead a cost‑management team where appropriate and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of professional experience in construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
• High degree of accuracy and strong local market cost knowledge.
• Previous experience with global companies.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• RICS membership preferred; AACE CCP or CCT preferred.
