Database Administration Specialist

About the role

Join Kyndryl as a Database Administrator, managing the backbone of our technological infrastructure and ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of database systems.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, install, and maintain database management systems to keep them running at peak performance.
• Manage user access, set security protocols, and protect data from unauthorized access and external threats.
• Conduct capacity planning and growth projections to ensure scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to coordinate database project plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop backup and recovery plans and support end users and developers in solving complex database issues.

Required profile

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 implementation and management.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware ESXi.
• Knowledge of public and private cloud management, especially migration from on‑premises to cloud.

Required skills

• Automation experience, particularly Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Vulnerability management.
• On‑prem AD FS with Microsoft Active Directory and/or Azure AD.
