About the role

The Director of Commercial Excellence & Business Development will partner with the LATAM VP and franchise leaders to shape and execute multi‑year commercial strategies across Latin America, driving revenue growth and market expansion for a leading medical‑device company.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a 3‑5 year commercial strategy aligned with LATAM growth targets.
  • Lead execution of strategic projects, ensuring KPI delivery such as revenue, market share and launch performance.
  • Translate strategic initiatives into actionable business and operational plans across franchises.
  • Partner with finance, franchise and functional leaders to identify growth opportunities and close performance gaps.
  • Evaluate and prioritize expansion opportunities, including new markets, portfolio optimization and pricing initiatives.
  • Design and implement scalable commercial execution frameworks across LATAM markets.
  • Optimize product launches, from readiness to post‑launch performance reviews.
  • Lead governance forums, monthly/quarterly business reviews and performance tracking.
  • Support M&A integration and align commercial strategy with operating models.
  • Prepare executive‑level communications, board‑ready presentations and financial analyses.

Required profile

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial strategy, PMO, consulting or business transformation within healthcare or medical‑devices.
  • Proven track record leading large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives across multiple countries.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders (VP level and above) and drive decision‑making.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Experience with commercial excellence frameworks such as go‑to‑market, pricing, segmentation or salesforce effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated record of measurable business outcomes (revenue growth, margin improvement, market expansion).
  • Excellent communication skills for executive presentations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • PMO or project‑management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
