Director, Procurement Operations, Americas

About the role

DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting a Director, Procurement Operations in Bogotá, Colombia. The role ensures that the regional Source-to-Pay service delivery organization supports Global Services, One Procurement and DePuy Synthes strategy, and works with business leaders, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Technology and the wider Procurement function. It leads regional managers and service teams and balances global standards with country and business needs in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop regional managers and professionals, and oversee the day-to-day Source-to-Contract and Requisition-to-Pay functions.
• Own operational performance across the Source-to-Pay portfolio, including intake, requisitions, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, catalog support, data, reporting and contracting handoffs.
• Establish regional governance, service levels, dashboards, capacity plans and escalation paths.
• Partner with Category, Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, Compliance, Quality, Regulatory, Information Security, Privacy, Technology and Supply Chain.
• Drive continuous improvement in user and supplier experience, data quality, channel adoption and cost to serve.
• Support automation and AI initiatives, define business needs, integration points, workflows and reporting, and promote self-service and touchless processing.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy, delegation of authority, segregation of duties and legal/regulatory requirements, and remediate control and audit findings.
• Provide executive leadership for major incidents, business continuity risks, supplier failures and system disruptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA, master's or another advanced degree preferred.
• 10-12 years of procurement, finance or related experience, with at least 7 years in a management role.
• Experience leading large teams in a complex matrixed structure and managing internal and external stakeholders in a service-delivery setting.
• Strong strategic, data-driven thinking, collaboration, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience owning service levels, governance, controls, performance analytics, capacity, change and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English; Spanish or Portuguese preferred depending on the region.
• Up to 5% domestic and international travel; Monday to Friday schedule with coverage of Americas working hours.

Required skills

• Preferred: good understanding of Requisition-to-Pay and Source-to-Settle at a high level.
• Preferred: experience with SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, ServiceNow, Coupa, Power BI or comparable platforms.
• Preferred: experience in life sciences, healthcare or another regulated industry.
