Director, Subject Matter Expert - Authorizations & Fraud

About the role

Mastercard's Advisors & Consulting Services group provides value-added services to a global client base, combining management consulting with its data assets, platforms and technologies. As Director, Subject Matter Expert - Authorizations & Fraud, you will act as a trusted client business advisor and lead or advise on fraud client engagements, guiding project delivery teams to insightful, business-focused recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements across industries, mainly consulting on fraud management and related fraud products
• Develop strategies and programs for large, regional and global clients using data and technology solutions
• Own key relationships with senior client stakeholders and assess client agendas, internal culture and change readiness
• Provide analytical and day-to-day project delivery leadership, and deliver impactful client presentations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Product and Business Development to scope projects and build the firm's intellectual capital
• Mentor and coach junior consultants and contribute to knowledge management and best practices in Authorizations and Fraud

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree with 15+ years of work experience
• 6+ years of consulting experience (preferred) and 7+ years of direct industry experience
• Strong working knowledge of the payments landscape and expertise in authorizations, fraud risk management, payments and financial crime
• Experience managing teams and key client relationships, including mid- and executive-level contacts
• Ability to identify new business opportunities, draft proposals and scope opportunities
• English fluency, eligibility to work in the country of application and ability to travel to client sites semi-regularly
• Preferred: fraud scoring product expertise, experience generating new knowledge, MBA or master's degree
