Distributed Systems Engineer (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev is looking for a Distributed Systems Engineer to design, develop and optimize scalable, fault-tolerant systems for enterprise applications, focusing on high-performance computing, reliability and efficiency across distributed architectures. The role suits someone with hands-on experience building large-scale distributed systems and a strong grasp of enterprise-level system design.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain distributed systems with high scalability and fault tolerance.
• Optimize system performance across distributed architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement enterprise-grade system architectures.
• Monitor and improve system reliability, availability and responsiveness.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance distributed system performance.
• Develop and maintain automated tools for monitoring, testing and deployment in distributed environments.
• Mentor and guide engineers in best practices for distributed systems design and optimization.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience with distributed systems, scalability and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Strong background in software architecture design and understanding of system security.
• In-depth knowledge of memory management and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and integrating distributed and scalable solutions, especially in cloud environments.
• Ability to choose between architectures and technologies, weighing their pros and cons.
• Advanced level of English.
