Email Security Consultant – Secure Email Solutions

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking an Email Security Consultant to help clients protect their email environments from advanced threats. You will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to design, implement, and operate secure email strategies across a range of platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and operate Microsoft secure email solutions, including Defender for Office 365 and Exchange Online Protection.
• Manage enterprise email security platforms such as Check Point Email Security, Proofpoint, and Trend Micro Email Security.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize spam filtering, anti‑phishing, and malware protection controls.
• Conduct email investigations using header analysis, message tracing, and delivery diagnostics.
• Apply Zero Trust and security principles to design robust email protection architectures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 or Exchange Online Protection.
• Operational knowledge of enterprise email security platforms (Check Point, Proofpoint, Trend Micro).
• Understanding of email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Solid knowledge of email threat vectors including phishing, spoofing, malware, and BEC attacks.
