Embedded Systems Engineer (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev® is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to design and implement firmware for next‑generation IoT, automotive, and industrial devices. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a global team of top‑tier engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop robust firmware and embedded software for diverse hardware platforms.
• Implement and tune real‑time operating systems (RTOS) to ensure system stability.
• Develop and maintain efficient device drivers for seamless hardware‑software communication.
• Perform low‑level debugging and performance optimization using hardware abstraction layers and system‑level tools.
• Program microcontrollers and manage embedded Linux environments to support complex device functionalities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems, firmware development, or systems programming.
• Proven track record building firmware for IoT, automotive, or industrial devices.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming.
• Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Hands‑on microcontroller programming and device driver development.
• Low‑level debugging and performance tuning.
