Finance Associate – Remote (Medellín)

About the role

Pharmbills is looking for a Finance Associate to support its growing portfolio of U.S. healthcare clients. Based in Medellín and working remotely, you will ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across reporting, AR/AP, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, journal entries, and balance‑sheet items.
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Assist internal and external audits.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
• Oversee junior accounting staff when applicable.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Coordinate with other departments for reporting needs.
• Assist with tax preparation and regulatory filings as required.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Billing for 3,000+ clients.
• Support Accounts Payable and payment processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in American corporate or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
