Financial Project Manager (Financial PMO)

About the role

WSP is looking for a Financial Project Manager to lead the financial planning, control and reporting of strategic projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with project managers, controllers and analysts to ensure budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow are accurately managed and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Monitor project revenue, costs, margins, profitability and cash flow.
• Partner with Project Managers to achieve financial and contractual targets.
• Analyze financial results, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities for projects.
• Prepare and deliver executive‑level financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track financial and operational KPIs to assess project performance.
• Identify financial risks, optimization opportunities and mitigation strategies.
• Provide guidance to Project Controllers and Financial Analysts on project financial management.
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management of projects, preferably in a PMO environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and drive decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of working under tight deadlines.
