Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

The Financial Reporting Analyst will support Durum by preparing accurate financial statements, budgets, and analyses while ensuring compliance with applicable reporting standards. This role works closely with senior management, the Controller, and the Financial Reporting team to deliver timely and reliable financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update financial statements, budgets versus actuals, and other financial analyses in compliance with IFRS/ASPE.
• Present financial statements and cost analyses to key management.
• Research and draft financial accounting memorandums.
• Support external financial reporting deliverables and act as liaison for audits.
• Review filings, press releases, and presentations containing financial data.
• Assist in financial modeling, forecasting, and tax return preparation as needed.
• Maintain operational accounting functions, including reconciliations, AP, AR, accruals, deposits, and monitoring of AFE/WO.
• Help monitor and report on internal controls on an annual basis.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects such as special financial models, due‑diligence, and reporting initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of IFRS and ASPE reporting standards.
• Familiarity with Canadian GST/PST tax examinations.
• Ability to follow directions from supervisors and adhere to company policies.
