Flash Charging Manager

About the role

The Flash Charging Program Manager leads BYD's charging business in Colombia, overseeing network planning, partner selection, delivery, and service performance. The role manages a team of operations, deployment, and field planning specialists to ensure reliable customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Set priorities for specialists, review progress, develop capabilities, and resolve escalations.
• Build and prioritize site pipeline, assess demand, grid capacity, and develop business cases.
• Lead negotiations with dealers, developers, and property owners to secure site access and service arrangements.
• Define RFP strategy, evaluate EPC and maintenance partners, and select based on capacity, cost, and quality.
• Oversee delivery, permits, utility connections, engineering, logistics, and construction while controlling safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate platform readiness, payments, billing, and roaming with finance and legal validation.
• Ensure commissioning, testing, documentation, and training before handover.
• Hold operations and maintenance teams accountable for availability, charging success, and issue resolution.
• Review tariffs, energy costs, utilization, and station economics to improve business performance.

Required profile

• At least five years leading customer‑facing businesses with technology and physical infrastructure, preferably in EV charging.
• Proven experience managing teams, partners, budgets, and delivering complex projects.
• Degree in Engineering or related field with knowledge of local utilities, permitting, and infrastructure suppliers.
