Freelance IT Network Support

About the role

Brilliant Computers is looking for a freelance IT Network Support professional in Engativa. The role covers network connectivity, printer and scanner support, end-user equipment troubleshooting and VIP support, with onsite work and clear SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Support users connecting to corporate networks, including LAN file/print resources, WAN connectivity and VLAN access as directed.
• Provide network printer and scanner support: device configuration, IP addressing, TCP/IP printing setup, and break/fix support.
• Create, change and remove printer configurations and queues according to requests and SLA requirements.
• Support wireless connectivity and end-user network troubleshooting, and provide onsite operational and technical support to authorized users.
• Resolve incidents related to EUC equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals) and perform reactive troubleshooting to restore service quickly.
• Install, upgrade, configure, repair and replace EUC hardware and peripherals, and provide software break/fix, reinstallation and remediation.
• Handle non-warranty asset replacement and coordinate parts and logistics; provide mobile device repair and maintenance where in scope.
• Provide VIP support for desktops, mobile devices, displays, video systems, docking stations, communication devices, printers and scanners.
• Track and close tickets in the problem management/ticketing database, give regular feedback on customer requirements and onsite findings, and communicate clearly with sales, operations, branch offices and technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4+ years of relevant onsite IT support experience (Desktop Support L2 / EUC / Network Support).
• Able to communicate effectively in English and the local language, written and spoken, at minimum B2 level.

Required skills

• Windows 11 installation, upgrade, migration and deployment in enterprise environments, and Windows 10 endpoint maintenance.
• Hardware, driver and enterprise application configuration.
• Imaging tools such as Ghost and MDT (or equivalent), and backup/migration tools such as USMT (or equivalent).
• Troubleshooting of network connectivity, laptops, desktops and printers/scanners, including TCP/IP printing and queue creation.
